Quick Vibe Check!

I hope everyone is training hard improving their game. Pop up in for an open mat so we can get that work!

Main Event: Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley II

Merab didn’t just defend his belt — he squeezed the soul out of O’Malley with a nasty north-south choke late in Round 3. Merab has now officially tied Jon Jones and Khabib with 13 wins in a row. Let that sink in. We have a new contender for Bantamweight GOAT. Fuck it, he's ours ( Nothing but love Aljo).

For Suga Sean O'Malley. you are who we thought you were. Keep grinding, keep putting yourself in great positions. You are a great fighter who won a fluke championship. Rematch Aljo if I am lying. Back to back loses gurantees Sean will have to build back up. Maybe he does so at Featherweight?

Co-Main: Kayla Harrison vs. Julianna Peña

Kayla Harrison didn’t just win, she did what the entire world expected her to do versus Julianna, she made a statement. Locked in a vicious kimura and snatched the women's bantamweight belt without breaking a sweat. Kayla, with two Olympic gold medals, a PFL Championship, and now a UFC Championship is truly the greatest female in UFC history with her accomplishments alone. I am happy she called out Amanda Nunes. This fight will be a banger and both ladies deserves the buzz and huge paycheck that comes with it.

Rising Stars & Must-Watch Debuts

  • Mario Bautista vs. Patchy Mix: Bautista shut down the debut hype — 8 straight wins now. Cold and calculated. Mix better learn some humility the way he was talking before that ass whooping.

  • Kevin Holland vs. Vicente Luque: Another d’arce, another bonus. Holland’s on a roll — cool, weird, dangerous. Just how we like him.

  • JooSang Yoo vs. Jeka Saragih: 28 seconds. That’s all it took for Yoo to make noise. KO of the night? Probably KO of the year.

  • Waldo Cortes‑Acosta vs. Serghei Spivac: Big boy battle. Waldo outstruck and outclassed Spivac — not flashy, but tough.

  • Azamat Murzakanov vs. Brendson Ribeiro: Murzakanov dropped a TKO bomb early. People are starting to take him real serious in the light heavyweight picture.

  • Joe Pyfer vs Kevin Gastellum: Joe bodybags and Kevin really slugged it out. Was a great fight to watch.

Performance Bonuses aka $50K Club:

  • Merab Dvalishvili

  • Kayla Harrison

  • Kevin Holland

  • JooSang Yoo

What’s Next?

  • Merab’s Future: Corey Sandhagen deserves this shot. Do right by him UFC.

  • Harrison vs. Nunes: This is the super fight women’s MMA has been waiting for. Elite vs. elite.

  • O’Malley’s Road Back: It ain’t over for the Suga Show, but he’s gonna need to mix in some serious wrestling work if he wants to bounce back against guys like Umar Nurmagomedov.

Final Take:

UFC 316 gave us a crystal-clear message: Merab and Kayla are running their divisions. Big-time wins. Statement finishes. Then you’ve got killers like Yoo and Holland giving us viral moments, while others — like O’Malley and Patchy Mix — hit a hard pause.

This card wasn’t perfect, but it had enough grit, hype, and heat to shape the next chapter of 2025’s fight story.
